In March 2002 I went on my first training camp with 8 friends. We went to La Marina to train for two weeks. La Marina is on the Costa Blanca around 20 miles from Alicante.

From La Marina daily rides were organised. Mileages of between 50 and 100 miles were ridden on most days. The area around La Marina is perfect for cycling. The climate in March is reliably warm (around 24C), the roads are in excellent condition and the motorist are extremely respectful.
